CYLAD Consulting participates in student consulting fair hosted by the German Student Consulting Network

In 2017, the Federal Association of German Student Business Consultants (BDSU) celebrated its 25th year as the umbrella organization for leading student consultancies across Germany. The organization serves as a platform for exchange for more than 2000 student consultants. To celebrate its 25th anniversary BDSU hosted a congress in Munich, attended by consultancies and students, to facilitate networking and exchange between participants. The fair attracted nearly 400 participants, including students from over 30 universities.

CYLAD Consulting participated in the two-day congress which included an open networking event as well as a case workshop. CYLAD challenged the 16 student consultants in attendance at the case workshop to provide a solution which “disrupts the aviation industry.” Students worked in groups of four to respond to the challenge. CYLAD partner, Dr. Steffen Petersen, was impressed by the creativity and quality of the student groups’ ideas which ranged from airplanes as a service, to business models, to an aircraft cabin equipped with virtual reality options as the next generation of entertainment systems. Following the congress, CYLAD participants Steffen Petersen, Marco Zahn, and Omid Molavi, joined in the anniversary festivities of the BDSU.
