CYLAD appoints Michael Preiss as Partner in Switzerland

On October 1st, 2025, Michael Preiss joined CYLAD Switzerland as a Partner, supporting both the Zurich and Geneva offices. With extensive experience in manufacturing, plant engineering, aerospace, defense, and the automotive industries, he will play a pivotal role in driving CYLAD’s growth in Switzerland and across Europe.

Michael brings over two decades of experience in industrial consulting. For the past six years, Michael has been Partner and Managing Director at H&Z Management Consulting in Switzerland, where he led the Practice Group Value Creation across Europe and China. He supported numerous clients, in particular for leading Private Equity firms, around their value creation, cost competitiveness, and carbon footprint reduction challenges.

Before that, Michael founded GBC Solutions AG, where he took interim management positions for major industrial clients in Europe and Asia.

He started his career at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for 7 years as an Expert Operations.

Michael has a recognized expertise in procurement, product development, cost optimization, business transformation, and manufacturing.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and holds a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
