Reduction of scrap and material used in the production process

CHALLENGE

Our client, a company in the metallurgy sector was looking to optimize its industrial processes to:

  • reduce environmental impacts
  • secure competitiveness through cost reduction

To support these objectives, the organization and implementation of a transformation platform was needed.

SOLUTIONS

In order to foster improvement initiatives, we conducted a 360° industrial assessment including: productivity, eco-design, process adjustments from industrialization to testing, optimization of tooling usage or redesign, reduction or recycling of consumables.

The results of this assessment enabled the consolidation of an environmental initiatives portfolio. Based on costs and environmental impact, each initiatives was then evaluated and prioritized. To ensure the impact, we supported in framing and launching the priorities.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Tooling redesign to increase re-use and improve performance
  • Use of recycled consumables
  • Production process optimization plan
